Interactive 3D Hippopotamus

 

 

This project was about creating a game-like application, with the following requirements:

 

  • Hippopotamus character that can do many predefined movements
  • Realtime lipsync of the Hippopotamus character with a person that uses a microphone (lipsync according to mpeg4 specification).
  • Dynamic backgrounds
  • Save and load different camera positions. Fly between different camera positions.
  • Control through a touchscreen interface as well as various gamepads.

The base 3D Engine used was Ogre3D (www.ogre3d.org). The 3d model, animations and morphemes (lip movements) were made with 3d Studio Max 2009.

The application is an excellent example what ANEMA SOLUTIONS can do, as it requires exceptional knowledge in 3D editing and programming.
